Sheridan Brimacombe

It is with sadness that we announce the loss of Sheridan Brimacombe.

A message from our Chairman

“Sheridan Brimacombe died 20th September 2018 sadly two weeks after her husband.
She was for forty years a member of SI Plymouth, after joining the Club in 1978 she recruited her sister Lesley Thomas.
She was a dedicated Soroptimist serving in many capacities Club President and Region Extension and Membership Officer, she was a Charted Accountant, the first ever in Plymouth and partner of Bromhead & Co. a firm started by her father.

Sheridan was very faithful to the well being of Number 63, she was founder of The 2000 Club raising funds for the refurbishment of No 63, a subscription lottery which has raised £127,000.00. since its inception. The 2000 Club is still run by SI Plymouth administered by Hilary Preston.

Sheridan was a Director of Number 63 for three years, in fact at the same time as me.

I quote Manager Debbie Proops, “I shall always remember Sheridan’s gracious smile and her kindness”.

On behalf of the past and present Board of Directors of Number 63 ( Soroptimist) Limited I offer to her family our gratitude for her service and our sympathy at their loss.”
